| Just a thread for posting factions that are limited to the Legacy era.
The Neo Federation(Really just Federation, but gotta differentiate OOC somehow...): Led by a still to-be-determined president, with its military led by Federation Grand Admiral Steven Armstrong. Things have had to change greatly since the loss of Samus Aran, leading the Federation to push for cybernetic augmentation of their soldiers just to keep up. Many soldiers are more cybernetic than human now, to the extent of even only being a human head attached to a cybernetic body. Most of the augmentations were due to battle injuries, but some(including the volunteer only Cybrid Commando program) did it simply to be stronger. The ones who aren't cybernetic use very powerful powered armor.
High ranking leaders: President, Grand Admiral Armstrong. Factional distinctions: Heavy cybernetics. Allies/Enemies: None/Space Pirates(both factions), Esperians, Kriken Empire
Ridley's Space Pirates(Still known as just The Space Pirates): Much like the Federation, also uses Cybernetic technology, with most of their soldiers being heavily improved versions of Weavel. Neither of these factions are really limited to Legacy, though. Still led by a heavily cybernetic Ridley.
High ranking leaders: Ridley, meta-kraid. Allies/Enemies: Esperians/Blood Dragons, Federation, Krikens. Factional Distinction: Cybernetics. Has a fucking dragon for a leader.
Blood Dragons: Talon Aran's version of the Space Pirates, composed of men who abandoned Ridley along with Talon. Unlike both other factions, uses heavy Phazon augmentation, having perfected Phazon augmentation to the point Project Valhalla managed, creating Phazon super soldiers. For powerful soldiers(walking tanks), they still created Phazon Elites, omega pirates and berserker knights.
High Ranking Leaders: Talon Aran, Elaya Aran. Allies/Enemies: Esperians/Space Pirates, Krikens, Federation Factional distinction: Phazon augmentations

| Esperian Empire: an intergalactic sized empire composed of hundreds of thousands if not millions of planets all owing allegiance to Espera Nota (also known as Roan Ash Monschie, Asher, and Dead-Zone (or D-Z for short)), all planets (outside of two, one being a rebuilt SR-388, the other being Tawfret) under Esperian rule were populated by Espera Nota himself, using clones and genetic experiments to do so. He also artificially increased the speeds at which the planets evolved socially and culturally (with special focus on science), and after he felt that the inhabitants were ready, he would reveal everything to them. This would be followed by him declaring himself leader, but most members of the Esperian Empire view him as something more akin to a god.
High ranking officials: Espera Nota (AKA Dead-Zone) Allies/Enemies: Blood Dragons, Space pirates/Kriken Empire, Neo Federation (though it is mostly a one sided enemy-ness on the federation's part, the Empire doesn't really care one way or the other) Factional distinctions: Soldiers are often genetically constructed monsters, or have extreme modifications done though genetic engineering.

| Phazon Empire(name WIP, just an idea I had) A Zerglike faction composed of corrupted versions of other faction's units, with its own unique units being ing-like creatures. Led by the planet Phaaze which managed to regenerate itself, with a humanoid host usually being used to personally command armies.
Able to take control of soldiers, dead or alive, and even ships and artificial intelligence. Becomes the main threat after the Kriken Empire is taken care of, or even during that conflict. | |

| I wasn't thinking about it when I was considering Talon Aran's Phazon taking over(I was mostly thinking of that as a general Phazon madness thing), but I'm going to have that be an in-story hint that Phaaze came back. | |

| Hell, just have a different Phaaze, do you have any concept of how many there could potentially be? A lot, and that's canon. I'm serious, there has to be more than one, since it has been canonically stated that: 1. The planet Phaaze fires out a leviathan meteor once every century (Likely referring to the Terran cycle consisting of 100 Earth years), 2. Prior to the events of Metroid prime 3, (By approximately 50~51/2 years) a Leviathan was launched at the planet Tallon IV, and 3. Approximately twenty years prior to the events of metroid prime 2 (Which was six months after metroid prime), a Leviathan was launched at Aether. This actually means that it COULD NOT have been the same Phaaze that appears in Metroid Prime 3, Likely for either one, and that the Phaazes that infected Tallon IV and Aether were also completely different from each other, meaning there are AT LEAST 2-3 Planet Phaazes, if not many many more (Which is more likely), so you don't even need to use the one from MP3: C, just pick one. Also kind of puts a "BUL~~L-SHIIT!" Spin on the line from the end of MP3 that says that all phazon in the universe was rendered inert, since there was no logical reason for that anyway, especially with more than one Phaaze being around in the first place. | |

| I actually always considered the whole "PHAZON'S GONE" plot point at the end to be a lame cop-out only put in to explain why Samus isn't corrupted when Super Metroid happens. I usually ignore it while making characters. | |
