| So, by doing a bit of experimenting (involving the use of the debug mode for Fusion), I've determined that, if the SA-X and Samus' final suit have the same defensive rating (which they should, it's been stated that the suit she uses with the Ice-Beam has the full defense of her original Varia suit, which had much more defensive power than her fusion suits, and supposedly the SA-X is using a perfect copy of her Varia suit), and IF my calculation for the power increase provided by charging your beam in Fusion is accurate (I tested by shooting a Ki-hunter with the power+charge beam until it died, took 12 shots, then I shot it with charged shots, took 2, so increased by a factor of 6 minimum), then that means that (given that the SA-X takes 14-16 hits to kill) the SA-X has anywhere from 6,720-7,680 HP, not counting her mutation or Core-X forms, only the power of her suit. Funnily enough, that range is actually pretty close to the amount that she (Samus) would have if she kept every Energy Tank from the previous games (Not counting hunters (since I can't remember how many were in that) she would have about 6,999 HP counting her original 99). Ended up forgetting Other-M...oops. Well, still pretty close though. I calculated what I assume the damage of the beam would approximately be by equipping the fully powered suit while fighting the Wave-Beam Core-X, which would do 80 damage at full power, multiply by six, then the number of required hits (14-16) and you've got a rough estimate of about how much HP the SA-X seems to have. If you weren't doing WAY more damage than her, that'd be pretty fucked how much more HP she has than you (almost 4 times if you're at max). As is though, the unfairness more leans in your favor. As cool as this stuff is, I actually first started it in the hopes of finding a rough estimate for how much HP my phazon corrupted SA-X might have. Not that it would matter much really, but knowing all these kinds of numbers, I could realistically start building up some kind of RPG based on metroid using metroid enemies. Stuff like those calculations and the kind you can do using Hunters' and Echoes' multiplayer modes actually provides roughly what one might need to calculate EVERY enemy's HP as well as how much damage each weapon in the series does, and so on. Though, it would be much harder to build stuff like Federation troopers (though you could run with the Ing-possessed variant's numbers to simplify) weapons and armor, seeing as there is no definite concrete basis, like with how much damage the power beam, or the dark beam does. Or any of the other beams, if you're willing to take the time to calculate it by comparing "How many hits" with multiple different enemy types. | |

| Well you would also have to take multipliers into account too when determining this. You said using Multi-player to determine how much damage weapons do. Well I know for a fact that the Light beam does more base damage to enemies than the dark beam, and I am sure there are probably other enemies that have stuff like this apply to them, but those others I won't put down because I don't know it for a fact, I just assume those other's. | |

| With stuff like cold-based enemies taking more damage from the plasma beam for instance? You are most certainly correct sir, there are those things to consider as well. It would take someone who simultaneously has WAY too much time on their hands, and is incredibly dedicated and good at the maths to really figure all this out (I am unfortunately not really enough of any of those to do it), but still. The fact remains that it is POSSIBLE, which is the most important thing of all.
On a separate note, the character I started all that research for is finished now. My old phazon corrupted SA-X is now completely rebooted, and much cooler and better written as well. | |
