Twin Fever: Study and Hopeful Extermination of a Deadly Virus from the Wild

"Oh hey, its Phazon Corruption Lady number two! Now we have Samus and Dune..."
Akiba steps out from behind his rock, and Samus' cannon is facing him.
"Just Kidding!"
Akiba sighs in relief.

"The name's Hiraito Kilepura. Nice to meet you." he replies, lowering his cannon as well.

Samus groaned, but quietly enough so no one could hear. "Great. If the band is done forming, can we go now? I'd like to find out more about this virus." Dune nodded, and then whacked Akiba on the back of the head. "Shut up Akiba." Samus began walking again, with Dune following close behind. Both remained silent.

Hiraito walks right behind them also not saying a word. There were times where being silent was the best thing to do, and this was one of them... at least for him anyway.

Akiba followed suit with Hiraito, keeping quiet while rubbing the back of his head.
"Ow..."

"Oh shut up you big baby." Dune said, annoyed. Her gaze went to Samus. "I'm surprised you can put up with these guys." Samus shrugged. "I've seen worse." She replied, as the group continued on.

"I can fight! I can prove it right here, too! Ten credits says I beat Samus here in a match!"
The group looks at Akiba and begins laughing.
"Watch me!"

Dune laughed, and looked at Samus. "Are go going to fight him?" Samus gave Akiba a raptor glare.

"Do you really want to try that? I will not go easy on you." Her tone was ice.

"You're making me feel stupid... If it lets you know I'm one to be reckoned with yes!"
Akiba readies his gun.

Hiraito sighs and says, "Do we really have time for such petty things? If so, don't drag me into it. Otherwise there'd be nothing left of this forest."

"Actually, maybe this disease is in the plants. Maybe we should all just kill one another right here.

Samus sighed. "Let's get this straight. I don't have time to play games with some kid. Let's get moving." She walked off, not waiting for the others to catch up. Dune watched her go. "I really think she isn't going to wait for us this time. Let's keep up with her. She might be the legendary Samus Aran, but that doesn't change the fact that we're a team on this. And let's try not to blow each-other up, okay?"

"What he hell are you doing?" Thoth asked, and he began in the same direction,
Shasta blinked then began sprinting behind him, along with Cliodna. "And by the way, if this virus was in the plants, our specimens would have traces of chlorophyll." ((I'm not sure if this is accurate. Don't quote me on that, not that anybody would.))

"Then that's settled." Dune joined up with the two MAUs, Shasta, and Samus, keeping what she wanted to say to herself.

Hiraito takes off after her without thinking. I don't plan on getting into a fight with anyone on this so called team. Just as long as I get to blow stuff up, I'm staying.

Akiba stands there as all the others walk ahead. He walks after them too. He turns to Shasta.
"What if there's a central organism? You know, like Metroid Prime, that thing that Samus fought? Or like a Mother Brain, where when we destroy it we'll have to escape quickly? Just pitching around ideas..."

When Akiba mentioned Mother Brain, Samus stopped. "If its anything like that thing, we'll be perfectly fine. Its a virus, not an immature computer with an evil streak." She continued walking, wondering if information on her childhood was in the GF records. Then again, all she said was that she was trained by them and they gave her her power-suit. Nothing else really.

"I meant, like, maybe there's a central mass producing all of this junk. I was just comparing locations... Like it may be near the center of this planet, so it can project the virus all over the planet from one spot. We can't track it if its from the core... It'll just spread equally, giving no clues to location."
Akiba continues giving away ideas, in an attempt to make himself useful to the team. Then, a rock hit him in the back of the head, and he falls.
"Samus, was that you?!"

"If that was me, you'd be dead." Samus said as she spun around, pointing her Arm Cannon in the direction that the rock was thrown. "So it wasn't me. Who's there?" Dune's plasma blades suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Dune again?" Shasta turned. "But anyway, if anything were spawning... it... Well, I mean no animal can pull a virus out of its ass. It could be like the plague, where the animals spread it, but if there were any source, it would be some sort of large cell, or an intelligent species engineering it." Shasta looked toward the ground. "And if a planet like Twin Tabula got hollowed out, it would probably collapse. Zebes was an excellent choice foe Mother Brain, because it's made of compact earth, and these were the Chozo hollowing it out, remember."

"What does that have to do with anything?" Thoth asked.

"Well, I mean the Chozo were freaken bril-" Shasta was interrupted by a rock to his skull. "Keep hitting Akiba, please?"

"No, it wasn't me. I'm in front of Akiba and you. If i had thown it, it would of hit you in the face, on the back of your head!" Dune testily replied. Samus nodded. "Dune has a point."

"It could have been like a boomerang," Shasta grumbled, realizing he was more near the back of the cluster. "Or... Time... paradox..."

"You mean I'm hitting myself with a rock? Hey! Me! Stop throwing rocks at me!!"
Akiba turns to his team.
"I need to listen to me more often."

Shasta slammed his head against his open hand. "No... No... Let's just go..."

Samus groaned. I'm stuck with silly immature kids! She thought madly to herself.

Dune smirked. "Told you I didn't throw it." She said, telling to complete truth. She began to walk along, and stopped. "This is taking a while. Want me to get a view of the landscape from the air or not?"
