umm...kind of lost me along the way there, all I got was "Code makes health calculation easier, YAY!". that about sum it up, or did I miss something?

We could just use D&D 3.5 or D20 rules for combat.

I don't want to use D&D stuff for this, nor dice for the most part. I want cold hard calculations for this.

Cold hard calculations make it less of a game and more of a math problem. Also, without that chance of luck in there, combat seems like it would be kinda bland, since whoever had the biggest number wins no matter what.

It still boils down to a bunch of busy work math for the relatively same results. I highly recommend implementation of a Dice base system if you're going to put in a real combat system.

Then I would have to figure out how many dice I would have to use for damage based on stats and whatnot...

dice, and an online dice roller to solve the problem of "where?", would probably be a better idea here, but I respect you decision no matter what...for the most part, if you say "I'm going to make this game into a mango" I'd kind of fight you there. I only found out about toasty's post in the "New post!" alert thing. this and the previous are the only edits I'm making because I don't see any real reason to make any more, that just does not seem needed. and I again fail to make it in time.

Or you could save yourself a logistical nightmare and impliment any number of pre existing systems floating around the internet such as Pathfinder, D20, D&D, 3.5, etc.

Hell, there is even a system for Maid RPG.

If I knew how the Nedoroid Generation battle system worked, then it would be perfect, as I am trying to get as close to that as possible.

I think D20 has an edit for it. If anything you could just use restricted D&D homebrew.

Warhammer has a table top system, but I can't remember its name for the life of me.

It can be pretty brutal at times. It can show no mercy if your character isn't strong enough or you get overwhelmed. I can tell you this, never get close to a gene stealer, nasty buggers.

I want to have a system where in order to use skills, they have to have skill points in order to use them, while making the stronger skills cost more skill points, SP for short. I know that kinda mechanic at least for NG, Nendoroid Generation.
