Simple Infiltration, or Is It?

Mission Breifing

1. Infiltrate the Space Pirate base.
   
2. Obtain pirate research data
   
3. Extract Objective
   
4. Leave no remains
   

The Normandy came in with it's cloaking field up, undetected by the pirates. It made a quick drop off of Giles Nihil and went out of site. Giles quickly got in cover behind some crates before he was spotted by a pirate squad who thought they saw something. They linger around for a bit before leaving. Giles was ready to take them on, but wasn't sure if he was the onhly one coming on the mission. It seamed rather simple, but was it really so simple?

Akiba, who had landed here some time ago, crawled up behind him.
"A stealth mission. Sweet."
He got down behind a rock and looks over. He thinks to himself

Five pirates. One commando acting as a squad leader, four lackies. The commando has a sniper rifle and a thermal imaging system. The others are all equipped with standard Galvatronic Wrist-Rifles and energy scythes. Except for one, who has... a prototype missile launcher. I'd say a fireteam sent out to do an investigation. A standard patrol might have at most three normal pirates. What are they investigating?

"I take it you're my backup. I guess I can't complain. It's better than nothing." he says in his cold usual tone while taking out his assault rifle and readying an acidic grenade. He was never the social type.

Kisa felt a soft hum as a mission came into view. "Sounds interesting." She glided her ship into Elysia's atmosphere and landed. Quickly going into her Morph Ball Form, she quietly rolled around until she met up with Akiba and Giles, and returned into her normal form, still not grabbing the attention of the Space Pirates. "I take it you are the ones also on this mission." She said on the comm, her mouth not moving.

"As long as you don't get in my way or jeapordize the mission, I'll let you tag along." he replies with before scanning arouond for any other signs of pirates besides the group beyond the crates. If it's just these guys here, I can take them out with a well placed grenade and a few shots. He sets the grenade and tosses it at the commando, and it lands right on it's neck. The grenade's timer starts at 0:02. All the pirates could do was look at it before the grenade exploded with acid spraying most of them, burning away at their flesh. Then Giles bursts from behind the crates and sprays his assault rifle on them and they all fall quickly. He makes another scan and finds nothing and says, "All clear."

Kisa nodded and moved onto the next area, looked around. "No Space Pirates here. Coast is clear" She check with her thermal view as well, and looked around a bit, but there were none.

Giles moves in, ready for anything to jump out and blast it. His assault rifle had cooled down by now from it's previous use.

Akiba runs up to a wall and peeks out. He turns to his team.
"Around this wall is five pirates, coming this way. Likely cause is investigating the others. I'll take 'em."
Akiba waits for them to pass by, then he uses his energy scythe and stabs them, keeping stealthy. He hides the bodies by throwing them off of the platform.

Kisa looks around and finds what looks like an computer screen of some sort. She tapped the side of her head with a finger as she downloaded any information from the computer. "Got a map of the area." She looked around and disappeared from sight suddenly. "I'm going to take a quick look around." She moved unseen until she came upon a group of Space Pirates, and came back, uncloaking. "Space Pirate Patrol. About 13 of them."

"Alright, let's get ready for them." says Giles. He gets an incendiary grenade ready and rests his back against the wall, ready to throw the grenade towards the group of pirates and unleash his assault rifle on them.

Akiba was ready for them. They approached.

They turned around for a few seconds.
4,3,2,1,
They began turning back. Akiba jumped up and opened fire, as they took cover and tried to stay together.
"Now! Throw the grenade!"
Akiba was shot down and he fell down to one knee. Luckily, it went throught the shoulder, and it never actually hit him.

Giles burst from cover and threw the grenade at the feet of a group of pirates, the time starting at 0:02. He then opens fire on any that are within sight, taking them down. Then the grenade explodes and a few pitrates are seen flying across the room. Giles turns back around the corner, awaiting his next attack.

Dune's right arm turned into a cannon which fired a blast of blue energy, killing several Space Pirates. She then ran to a couple and planted explosives on Space Pirates before setting them off until no more Space Pirates were left. "Area Status: Clear." She said, her battle programs being ran.

Shasta busy on SR388, Cliodna also there, but a few miles away, Thoth was the only one on the immediate network to receive the transmission. He sighed, then set his ship to go back to Elysia.

Giles walks up to them and takes out his shotgun, and blasts one that seemed to move in the face. Half of it's head spattered across the floor. "You have to make absoloutely sure they are dead sometimes." he says coldly.

Akiba was turning around to follow the group when one turned invisible.
"Stealth Pirate!"
He fired where it was, but it tackled him and he was slashed across the chest. He threw the pirate off and shot it. His suit sealed the hole in the armor.

Thoth put his ship into hover, then jumped onto Skytown's ledge, commanding his ship to go land somewhere. Then he began blasting the enemy he did not know; he did not have enough time to switch to scan, so he just fired.

Kisa detected someone firing ahead, and found Thoth killing a Steambot ((I wasn't sure if you were firing at us or not)), and set her communications to his comm frequency. "Are you also here for the Infiltration mission?" Her voice said on his comm, but her mouth not moving.

Giles was still wondering what it was that they were supposed to obtain before blowing the place sky high. To his crew he says, "Alright, what are we really going after?" They respond with, "Well, we just cracked into the Federation Network and found the files we need. It seems that the Pirates are researching dark matter in that base. And apparently they have had previous experiments locked up there as well. Keep on a lookout for any strange creatures or dark creatures. They may be testing it on their own kind, or even worse. So keep your eyes peeled sir." To the rest of the group, "Alright, we may face some different kinds of creatures here. They've been experimenting with dark matter, so expect some strong opponents." With that, a dark figure bursts from the wall in front of the group. Giles' emediate reaction is to start firing at it. The creature lets out an ear piercing shriek in pain and swats Giles with it's large arm, flinging him into a wall. The dark creature stands about 8' and seems like an elite fused with dark matter, but a failed attempt.

Akiba looks at the creature and tries to get behind it, but it grabs him and throws him into a wall. Akiba hits the wall hard, but gets back up and fires a charge shot.

Kisa immediately went to scanning it, but beard no results. She watched the creature, analyzing it and waiting for it to attack.

Giles gets up, shaking off the attack. The creature looks at the group before it bull rushes towards the first person in its way.

"Yes..." Thoth walked to where the others were, trying to figure out what was currently doing, what stage they were in the infiltration. Not far, Thoth thought, if it took him two minutes to get to get to the group.

Kisa's right arm turned into a cannon in a moment, dodging the creatures attack since she was closest. Then she fired on the creature as it screeched in pain and tried to swipe at her.

Then Thoth shrugged and began blasting the enemies despite his confusion.
