Yee! So this will be the RP where the Kriken first strike, right?

yeah, taking place in galaxy since we don't have special planets available, but I figured the planet's name to be..hold on, I'm checking the new hunter's history... L6-R. so, Krikens attack, distress signal goes out, Espera arrives for his own reasons. That's all I have. we should probably start with Talon's reason for being there.

I'd assume he's just sorta wandering for a bit in Hyperion, not entirely sure why he'd be there. And I was thinking he'd be using the original hyperion for this RP, with it being destroyed by the Kriken leading him to build the new one.

huh. That's actually a really good idea. Cool thought. hmm, though. I don't really see any more planning to do unless we want someone else to be a part of this for some reason.

I can't really think of anything else to add either.

hmm... I guess one of us just needs to start the topic then. I'm gonna take a few minutes then throw on my music an brainstorm, meet you back here in a bit.
EDIT: I just realized something. We don't know anything about kriken tech outside of Trace. we may want to try and figure out what it might look like if they're going to be a major antagonist in the legacy RPs.

"'Planet L6-R, day of the invasion. The first thing to happen was the ship touching down, it was unlike any ship the people had seen before, and they moved in to investigate. The ones who got close were the first to die when the doors opened and a flood of red insectoids burst forth, most rushing forward on their three limbs, still in the ship were those moving bipedaly, they shot at the humans near the ship with unfaltering aim, their shots red as the blood that spewed forth from the wounds inflicted upon their victims. The Krikens had arrived.'"

Can I get a recap on what has been decided while I was gone

we're doing a prequel RP for the legacy era RPs, making note of how the Kriken empire came to be more widely known, as well as how the Hunter's replacement began down her path.

I was also thinking they would have very powerful ships, like on the levels of the Collectors from Mass Effect.
And that intro sounds pretty good.

yeah, powerful ships would be a must given that even personal ships are having mini versions of planet-buster weaponries.

Did either of you 2 take the Kriken empire or is it still available?

they're just the antagonists. If you wanted to control them as a group, you would need to have access to their leader. if they even have one that is.

Who is their leader?? As in who could be their leader.

We could make a new character as their leader, since one hasn't really been established yet.

Who knows. The metroid wiki says nothing about whether or not they even have a leader. I mean, you would think they would given that most empires tend to have and emperor, but it seems that individual Kriken just find a planet for the species to conquer as a rite of passage.

It sounds like they have many small tribe things. One on each planet they concur. Which would mean they have many small leaders.

if we went with that, you could make a character that controlled the tribe of one planet. The Krikens would probably have some distinctive traits to them for each planet by the way, specific evolution for the environment they find themselves in and the like.

Well when is the Roleplay planned to start? I could probably start to make character in a couple of days when I have time and be finished in about a hour.
