A Cup of Tea (something like that)

"That's very kind of you." Samus said smiling with relief. She stood up. "I'm going to get myself another cup of tea.." She said, and went to the bar. Standing next to Xanny, her eyes drifted over to him. Realizing it was him, she resisted the urge to run out. He was after her, but he didn't like it too much. In a harsh wisper, she said. "Xanny? What the hell are you doing here?"

Maybe it was because he was tired, maybe because he was in denial, maybe because he wanted no trouble, or simplly because he was distracted, but Agent I-82B seemed not to recognize Samus, despite having seen her different times without her suit.

"Lady, even I, despite my resemblance to a cyborg, need to relax sometimes from all the duty the Federation keeps giving me...", he said in the most tired tone of voce he could come up, then pointing with his fingers a tall pile of documents he needed to compile. The one of the top had written on: Arcterra - Fight Against Samus Aran.

"Anyone needs a coffe once or twice", he said his posing onto the table, looking at the new cup of coffe and attempting to grab him with his entrails. He didn't look in a good shape at all.

((I think the mission against Samus can end no way but with the Agent losing, after all))

Samus placed the palm of her hand to her face, sighing. "Yes." She replied, her voice still low so only he could hear. "I did totally kick your ass back there. But you should go take a nap or something. When was the last time you slept."

" I have not been taking a nap for a week, I feel like a mop... I can't stop: with all my work...", he replied.

"Nice. Try not to hunt me down and maybe you will get some more rest." She replied with a slight smirk. Picking up her tea, she sat back down next to Hirato, muttering "Poor fellow. Having to go to all the trouble to try and kill me, even though he doesn't want to." But she was scheming up a plan to get the Galactic Federation to have but no choice to lift the bounty. She hated fighting fellow bounty Hunters, and it was irritating to have to hide all the time. Then something hit her. What if the Galactic Federation finds my apartment?! She thought wildly, almost spilling her steaming drink.

Sterrance "Fallen Angel" walked into the coffee shop, extremely tired from plundering, old-school ((I imagine at this point in time, BitTorrent is totally old-school)).

Angel immediately walked up to the counter and asked for a large, regular coffee. Receiving it, he paid the cashier his well earned money from his plundering and selling it at low, low prices on street corners. He began pouring sugar into his coffee, then fell asleep at the counter. The cashier then nudged him awake, and he realized the sugar container was empty.

"Whatever."

He sat down at the table, wondering if he should have some coffee with his sugar. He sipped at it for a while, stirring it every once in a while. He fell asleep again.

"You alright there Sam, you almost spilled your drink. That would not have been very pretty if it did." he says as he saw her almost spill it.

"Behold!" Shasta walked in. "Your hero and saviour has arrived!"

The Fallen Angel fell onto the floor.

"Who the hell is that guy?" Shasta rushed out into his ship and grabbed his Shpygmomanometer ((going for the record of saying Sphygmomanometer the most on the forum.)) and checked his blood pressure.

Shasta broke out into song.

"If you want to measure, your blood pressure, everybody knows what tool you use:
It's that thing with the cuff for your arm and the bulb on the end that's attached with a tube.
But what do you call it? A blood pressure cuff?
It turns out that that name wasn't long enough.
The technical term for one of those blood pressure monitors, is a shpygmomanometer.

Do you want to get your blood pressure measured? Man, you need a SHPYGMOMANOMETER!
With the instrument whose name has got 16 letters? Man, you need a sphygmomanometer!"

"He seems to be fine. He just hasn't slept in a week. Sucker. At least I made good use of my Shpygmomanometer."

Shasta walked up to the counter. "One regular coffee, add a ton of Guarana and Caffeine and all that other good stuff. Water it down."

He paid the cashier, and put a green tea bag into it.

"This crap rocks, and it's better than most of the stuff they serve here."

"And god dammit, Xanny, why the hell don't you just kill her right here?"

Of course, Shasta was on Samus' side, and had been keeping an eye on Xanny since the events at BSL. Thoth was also keeping around when Shasta was busy, under the cover of killing him "Just for fun,"

This way we could kill him if it goes wrong.

Cliodna had refused to take part. Shasta assumed that she was probably the only person between the three that had never fought the law, federation or pirate. Shasta didn't care. He just wanted to protect Samus, and her two current companions, the Etecoons and Dachoras. They were some of the most intelligent non-verbal organisms, currently viewed as extinct by the Federation's lists. 70% of his aim was to ensure their survival, on top of Samus'. He knew that Samus could protect herself better than he could.

Xanny looked at Shasta and all of sudden he lit up with a bust of anger: "Are you kidding?"
He stood up and looked into Shasta's eyes, and said with a low voice so that Shasta only could talk: "I am as weak as a Zoomer right now! If I attacked her, she would crush me by flexing her pinky finger!."
As he ended talking, he kneeled as if his legs had no strenghts. He got up again by using four of his tendrils as supports and sat down again.

"Another one, please", he said ending the coffee.

Samus nodded at Hirato, as she watched Shasta. "Yea, I'm fine." She sighed. "That guy has a song for everything, doesn't he?" She remembered that she told the Etecoons and Dachoras she'd pick something up for them to eat. "I wonder what they eat.." She said to herself. It seemed that Shasta was on her side... but she didn't want to get her hopes up. "Hirato, do you have any idea what a Dachora or a Etecoon would eat?" She asked, not really caring if she blew her cover now. it not like they all knew where she lived or anything. Well, maybe the federation did, but she could take them. "I was thinking muffins, but I'm not to sure."

"Well, I'm not so sure either... Wait a minute, how did you come across them?" he says wondering how she came to aquire them since the planet was destroyed. I'm not one for thinking, but something's a bit fishy with Sam. I know Samus is blond and is about the same age as Sam. .. ... ..... Oh my god, she IS Samus! It weas quite obvious in his face that he was thinking and stumbled across something. He then leans in and whispers to her so only she can hear, "So, do you think you're safe where you're at now, Samus?"

Samus grinned as the wave of realization stumbled across his face. "I was wondering when you'd catch on." She let out a relaxed sigh. "Yea, I'm perfectly safe here. Adam would let me know if any Federation was heading towards my house. I'm not going to be here for a while though. Its dangerous to stay in one place for too long, but I have a lot of free time. For instance, i just finished watching the Star Wars trilogy. I didn't like episode 1-3 very much, so I didn't watch them. The acting was terrible." Who knew that Samus was a dork? No one really.

"I think a Dachora is similar to an Ostrach, so you should try feeding it seeds, small rodents, lizards... Etecoons are like monkeys, so give them some fruits, leaves, possibly some bugs, and to keep up the cliché, bananas."

"Thanks Shasta. When it comes to keeping pets, I'm not to good at it. There was Pyonchi.. but i made sure he stayed with Damara. Then there was the Hatchling.." She trailed off, remembering that the Metroid Hatchling, which had recognized Samus as its mother, had died protecting her and enabled her to defeat Mother Brain. Again. "but the past is the past, right?"

"Only after the bruises are healed, yes!", Xanny replied

"Your past is what makes you who you are. And it can leave scars like the one on my face." he says as he points to the scar went from above his left eyebrow to half way down his left cheek. "I learned to make sure they are dead from this." he says and chuckles a little.

"But what if the past is changing everyday, and we don't realise it because our memory is wiped away with it?" Shasta sighed. "What if you don't believe that's your past?"

Shasta took a sip of his tea-coffee, then continued, "My past makes me wonder if I'm good or evil- and I'm not speaking of a faction here- but sometimes it helps to be a little of both."

"Good and evil is all perspective." Samus said. "And if you're past isn't you're past, then who are you? What is your purpose in life?" Samus was a clear example of how the past affected the future. She, the daughter of some average miners, now considered the infamous (or famed) Samus Aran, greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy.

"I don't know. I imagined you've achieved your goal- or at least something you can be proud of- 10 times over again. I'm not loved or hated. I have nothing to stand for or against. I'm just sort of there. And sometimes I like it. I'm not necessarily unhappy about that."

"And of course, refering to being evil, sometimes I feel like I need to stand for what's right, but doing so is wrong. Like stealing bread to feed your family. Only on a higher level. Like killing Twin Fever was extremely 'evil.' In a way, killing the Metroids, even, was a bad idea. Who else has a Metroid subdued ego we haven't noticed?"

"Don't tell me - Agent I-82B shouted nodding - Past is my own bane. The more I think about it, the more I like this suit. I am nothing beyond it and I LIKE IT!!"

"Who knows if the Space Pirates have more metroids and are breeding them, I've had plenty of time getting rid of them in the past. And yeah, maybe it wasn't much of a good idea to hunt the metroids down. They are after all just creatures trying to survive." he says.

"If the Federation OR the Space Pirates are breeding them, then I'm going to destroy them. If they inhabit a planet and are left alone, I will leave them alone as well. It only depends on what the Federation or Pirates to do them. They might be just creatures trying to survive, but those creatures can waste planet after planet. The Federation and Space Pirates don't keep them as creatures, but as weapons." Samus said darkly.

"I have the entire genetic code of every type of Metroid. I don't plan on ever using it, but you never know. The truth is, I have the genetic code for pretty much every organism in the system. ((This is assuming that computer specialists eventually invented a compression format that can handle the sizes of a genetic code.))"

He watched everybody stare. "What if the universe dies without me, though? Am I supposed to say 'Ugh, the universe died without me. Bummer I didn't save all those genetic codes that could have kept me from being effed up right now, but the rest of my friends would have thought I was weird. I suppose it's better off this way."

"Its good to take safety measures, even though something as extreme as that it a little odd. I have the code for Metroid DNA as well, its just inside of me." She said, drinking more tea. "I wish all days were relaxing as this."

Hiraito takes a big swig of his coffee and says, "That is rather odd, but so are a lot of other things. And I for one am not really used to relaxing days like this, not unless I'm working on my suit and making modifications or upgrades."
