First Contact(Pre-Corruption, post-Echoes)

An RP idea I had in my head, a sort of reboot of the "zombie RP" idea since that didn't really take off very well. Instead of a zombie infection, we have a Leviathan crashing into a very populated world, infecting most of the population with an Ing-like corruption, or Phazon madness for the less mutated ones.
I feel we could come up with some interesting mutations for the population, though this is one I'm going to wait on starting. But I figured we could plan this out before then.

Certainly sounds interesting. Also, if you want to start the zombie RP itself back up from the post before JL joined in a separate thread, I would be cool with that.

I kinda want to restart it with this premise, if that's okay. I just feel I could do more with Phazon than I could a normal virus. Plus Phazon infestations are always fun.

I'm in. though I would like to get back into the actual zombie-RP eventually. you know, due to how absurdly badass zombies are. no rush or anything though.

There will be a zombie equivalent(Considering I'm basing this corruption off the Ing, there will be an equivalent to the Dark Troopers)

Update: I'm going to go a bit more heavy with the mutations. We'll be seeing things ranging from simply insane survivors(a neutral faction, but could still be a threat), to Phazon-mutated zombies/dark troopers/other things like that, and other things that are basically Phazon Necromorphs and other horrifying things. I decided to make it much more mutation based in addition to corruption just because a Leviathan can basically do anything when it crashes(even create a parallel universe), so I figured why couldn't it do things like this? We could also include hallucinations and such, especially from those who were already corrupted before coming to the planet.
We can start whenever everyone feels like it.

um, what's the time period? same as the zombie RP? later? earlier?

I was thinking it could take place during the time where Samus is knocked out during Corruption, unless we should include Samus in which case Pre-Corruption, post-Echoes as the title says.

Edit: Though the title is meant to imply it's the first human contact with a Leviathan, which makes me lean toward making it take place pre-corruption.

I was actually asking because my brain either didn't notice the time mentioned in the title, or it just didn't register, and I needed to know because most of my characters only exist post-fusion. I'm going to have to look through my list to find some that will work.

Sorry to limit it like that, but the concept doesn't really work all that much post-fusion. Unless we could make Phazon make a return, but that seems like a really far post-fusion thing.
Now that I think about it we should at some point try like a 30-40(or even hundreds of years)years post-fusion RP with new factions and stuff, kind of like a Metroid Legacy Era(Legacy Era being a really far forward era in Star Wars expanded universe). We could even have a descendant of Samus be the new Samus equivalent

well, I agree. a few characters would still be around though, cyborgs like tank and monsoon have an indeterminable lifespan, and characters like Talon and Espera just don't seem to age (the latter also has a backup, but that will be introduced later), so...yeah, don't know where else I was going with that. we should do an RP plan for that that we actually discuss at length to figure everything out later.

Made a thread for it. But yeah, we could start the First Contact RP whenever we're all ready.

for that I think we're going to have to do the sequel RP to that one trees started, I don't think he's going to come on until we do. well...I'm not meaning literally or anything, I just don't know if he would be up to doing two RP's at once.

EDIT: I think that my character angel wraith would be a good one for this RP, but I'm not sure if he's approved or not. I kind of think he is, but toasty just left the topic after one (of her) post(s) and it seemed like maybe that was an approval, but she never said "approved", so I don't know for sure.
